$55,000 - $75,000 plus solid benefits and bonus potential

SUMMARY

Objective of the Position: Responsible for manufacturing engineering process of prototype samples; installation of prototype process based on planned mass production process; creation of lessons learned out of prototype phases to ensure a smooth ramp up.


Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Get involved from Kick-off until IPT (gate 4.1).

  • Create process flow based on planned mass production process.

  • Check all sample drawings and give recommendation to ME-CTM for optimization.

  • Conduct feasibility study for prototypes (incl. supplier feedback) and explain differences in Prototyping vs. Series.

  • Procurement of prototype tooling and equipment (e.g. weld fixtures, gages, tools).

  • Initialize and track SCM for supplier sourcing (component, tooling, equipment, etc.).

  • Check fixture concept for gate 2

  • Track timetable for prototype samples

  • Report risk items to ME-CTM with immediate effect

  • Prepare and create all purchase requests for purchased parts and their corresponding tools in ERP system

  • Inform and control operators

  • Involve and get support from CoCs concerning special manufacturing trials

  • Create and prepare all production orders

  • Prepare of shipment (transport) to the customer

  • Create and provide Lessons Learned to Program Team

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Conduct all business-related activities for, and on the behalf of, the Company within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.

  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.

  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • Minimum 5 years' Automotive Manufacturing experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with new model launches

  • Minimum 5 years' Automotive Manufacturing experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in exhaust, robotic welding, fixturing or any combination preferred. Commercial vehicle experience is a plus.

  • Project management skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office & SAP.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally by car or plane.

Technical Expertise:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence.

  • This position involves working indoors around mechanical and hazards, fumes, irritants, with exposure to cold, heat and high noise levels under adverse conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
