Role Summary
We are recruiting a Lead Systems Engineer to oversee systems architecture, requirements engineering, multi-disciplinary integration, and technical validation across complex automotive electronics platforms. This role serves as the central technical liaison across cross-functional engineering teams and external OEM customers, synthesizing mechanical, hardware, and embedded software requirements into unified electronic system offerings
Core Objectives
• Author and manage systems engineering artifacts adhering to ASPICE SYS.1 through SYS.5 (Capability Level 2).
• Ensure defect-free product launches through rigorous requirement mapping, interface management, and system validation.
• Drive cross-disciplinary trade-off analyses and resolve technical conflicts across software, electrical, and mechanical domains.
Key Responsibilities
• Deconstruct OEM customer specifications into internal system, hardware, and software requirement sets.
• Manage end-to-end requirements traceability and assist validation teams in creating acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Define internal system architectures, sub-system boundary interfaces, ergonomic factors, and vehicle network interactions.
• Act as the primary technical contact for OEM client engineering teams regarding system capabilities and feature rollouts.
• Establish product feature roadmaps, conduct technical risk assessments, and oversee feature phase deployment.
• Oversee code and hardware design reviews to verify full alignment with functional system requirements.
• Participate in final functional decision-making and troubleshoot system-level performance discrepancies.
Target Qualifications
• Education: B.S. in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering (M.S. or INCOSE certification preferred).
• Experience: 7+ years in automotive product development encompassing mechatronics, embedded software, and electrical hardware.
• Requirements & Architecture Tools: Advanced hands-on experience using requirements management software (IBM DOORS, Codebeamer) and architecture tools (Enterprise Architect).
• Networks & Software: Working knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN/LIN), embedded microcontrollers, and basic programming capability (experience with Vector tools, Vehicle Spy, or Matlab/Mathcad preferred).
• Analytical Skills: Foundational understanding of thermal dynamics/CFD and comfort utilizing standard electrical testing tools (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Data Acquisition systems).
• Lifecycle Depth: Proven background navigating cradle-to-grave automotive development cycles, project timing, and cross-functional team coordination.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
